Pauline Nyiramasuhuko, former Rwandan minister for women and families, is on trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda for allegedly ordering that thousands of women and children be raped before being murdered during the genocide of 1994, when up to 1,000,000 people were systematically killed.
