Let's hope no football violence this year

The soccer world cup is on and unfortunately Australia media are full of this disturbing subject. Apart from the Olympics, it has the biggest media coverage in the world. It's always associated worldwide with evictions of poor people, e.g. http://bit.ly/ecMIS, and much violence http://bit.ly/bP4dAK. Let's hope that this year Australia remains free from the football hooliganism that has become an increasing phenomenon due to the intrinsic nature of competitive sports, which is that some people beat other people, very often at taxpayers' expense.
