Archbishop of Canterbury and sharia law

The ABC's Religion Report, fronted by Stephen Crittenden, is never short of an argument about Muslims, nor of favourable reports about the Church of England. Ad nauseum.

This week's program, rather predictably, employs what some people would call "dog whistle" words about the current controversy regarding comments made by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams. In this, the Religion Report is in almost perfect consonance with the British 'outrage'.

Let us hear, instead, how it can be that access by Muslims in the UK to sharia law should be any different from what already pertains in that nation, viz, the rights of Orthodox Jews to access to laws of the Hebraic tradition. Thank God the Archbishop does not have a tabloid brain.

The Religion Report is fun. In a very, very annoying way.
