Latest findings on plant-derived cancer medicines

"A trio of new studies has found that certain fruits and vegetables not only have properties that prevent cancer, but some may even be turned into potential treatments.

"In an Australian study using laboratory cell lines and mouse models of prostate cancer, researchers led by Dr. Jas Singh, a research fellow at the University of Sydney found that a commercially available nutrition drink reduces the growth of prostate tumors in mice by 25 percent in two weeks. The drink, Blueberry Punch, is a mixture of plant-based chemicals - phytochemicals - known to have anti-cancer properties."
