'Psychic' Sylvia Browne blows big prediction
Well-known American shyster Sylvia Browne is always providing evidence that she is a fraud, but some deluded people -- perhaps many -- believe that she is clairvoyant and can predict the future. Perhaps we shouldn't be too hard on the grieving people who believe in such nonsense -- their defences are probably down and they are easily conned. But it is still amazing anyone would believe this hogwash.
Recent events show just how misguided such a faith in so-called 'psychics' is:
"Shawn Hornbeck's parents received the best possible news when their son was found alive more than four years after his abduction.
"For self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Brown [sic], however, the news was not so good.
"In February 2003 on 'The Montel Williams Show,' Brown told the Hornbecks that their son was dead. She described his killer and even said where his body could be found.
"Oops.
"Yes, as it turned out, Shawn Hornbeck wasn't dead, his abductor looked nothing like the man Brown described, and Shawn's body, obviously, wasn't buried anywhere. That's three strikes right there ...
"For years, James Randi, a professional magician and debunker of paranormal claims, has offered a $1 million prize to anyone who can demonstrate psychic abilities under scientific, controlled circumstances. So far, he's had no takers. Brown once agreed to take Randi's test but later backed out, he says."

hey, is everybody forgeting about the killer sanomey that Mrs Brown clearly warned people please do not go to the east, thiland and those areas please she begged on the montal williams show major disaster tons of people going to be hurt or even killed. I do be leive she was on time with her date as well,this effected me as my father took up residence in thialand and through all the reckage we could not find him for longest time luckly he was alright i do beleive a huge amount of people did die because of that so called natural disaster
