What reasonable, and reasonably literate, person can read comments at Youtube or Google Video and not despair about our civilization?

Take, for example, a fairly random column of comments at a video on magic.

Consider not only the appalling spelling, punctuation, logic and grammar, but also the aggressiveness, ignorance and incivility and how they augur for the future of this planet.

Consider, too, that these are not generally the mentally retarded or uneducated people of our society. These are the advantaged ones, the ones who have computers and the Internet, or access to them. These are the ones with enough intelligence to use a computer and write, not the ones who are kept in institutions.

Hey hand the cards off, so you dont know how many people are in on the trick.. So they do the same thing he does to get the card, just stick that sob in the tank. Slide down. You see his fingers always work downward to slide the door down. Then he does it at the top to push his hand through so not alot of water comes out. Why do u think water spilled when he was working his fingers but not when he retreived the card?

Magnet: The card is inside the glass. That is, in the aquarium.
Card handoff: Even if he did, that still doesn't explain the card being in the glass.
I'm not saying I believe in magic, especially when it needs to be televised, but I at least like to dispel the stupid theories behind how they did the trick. Hell, I may even be wrong.
