During working for ECOFEST in New York, I was present at a meeting with a representative from the New York Museum of Water. As an activist in this area for many years, I asked the CEO for information to take back to share with you on this topic. The New York Museum of Water is the first in the world to be built. This project is being funded by the 1-Blue Planet Foundation to raise awareness and inspire action to protect Earth's circle of life for us and future generations.
This is also the headquarters of the Embassy of Water, to help identify the opportunities for the protection of our children's future, towards implementing practical solutions for a sustained quality of life on the planet ..
I think you will find these web sites most inspiring as it outlines a cultural strategy to help shape a water caring future. This makes the campaigns to stop the cyanide and nukes expanding the their territory of influence even more so important.
In Canberra the Aboriginal Tent Embassy is the front line for these struggles and the Aboriginal people's cultures looks after the water. The 1-Blue Planet Foundation states most clearly the value of indigenous and community based actions.
I see in addition to the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra, that the land on either side of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy is to be appropriated as sites for an Australian Museum of Water and Earth Care Embassies. This would connect us with both the grassroots cultures and mainstream activists in a working environment for Earth care.
Please visit these sites and let's know what you think.
