http://bit.ly/adH2vJ .... I fully approve of Australian federal Education Minister Julia Gillard's plan to reform school curricula in this country. The concept of Australian youth being able to read, write, and discuss history and the world around them, as they were able to do until some 40 years ago, is novel, radical and even distressing to some (including me, I admit), but in principle I'm all for it. If Gillard's plan works, Aussie young people might one day learn to grunt with even greater skill, and with some wit and learning.
