Help Haitian people

HELP PEOPLE IN HAITI! The Haitian Government reports that between 217,000 and 230,000 people have been identified as dead, an estimated 300,000 injured, and an estimated 1,000,000 homeless.

I heard of someone spending $700 (!!!) at a vet for one of their 'pets'. Meanwhile more than a million of our brothers and sisters are in DESPERATE need in Haiti http://bit.ly/cPZqWX -- it kinda puts pampered Westerners and their livestock in perspective, no?

Some say that charity begins at home -- it's a common platitude. But it is not always true, and very often an excuse by prosperous and spoiled Westerners for their for selfish inaction. And one thing's for sure, charity does not begin in the kennel.
