Aspirin and Heroin were trademarked by Bayer Corporation
1899 The Bayer corporation registered Aspirin (invented by chemist Felix Hoffmann) as a trademark. Another of their trademarks: Heroin (synthesized by Hoffman eleven days after he synthesized Aspirin), which Bayer energetically marketed as a non-addictive treatment for morphine addiction. Surely a suitable case for millions in reparations, should addicts, lawyers and workers in the drug treatment and rehabilitation industry put their heads together.
