Those of us who fear that we are heading at lightning speed towards real-life Idiocracy will not be comforted to know that the most popular site on MySpace, with something like two million 'friends', is one owned by a fifth-rate pop singer (from "Hollyhood", California) whose best attempt at a motto is to proclaim herself as a "bad bitch". Just what we need in the coming world: yet more bad bitches.

Check out Tila Tequila's site. She "built this new social networking online community for the youth of today". This will come as no surprise to anyone who has attained functional literacy.

Observe its aesthetics (redolent of a 1998 Geocities site in most ways except for the addition of a cringe-making YouTube, and the unexpected lack of accidentally overlapping animated angels), and take note of the erudite comments by Ms Tequila's hordes of visitors.
