Heil Honey I'm Home

Heil Honey I'm Home (Part One and Two, 1990) must be the weirdest sitcom that ever or never made it to air. Well, it had me laughing, which is quite something since the Republicans won in Congress all that time ago. And then the Democrats.

Only one episode of eight ever made it to air, but it was deemed too controversial. What a shame.

www.b3ta.com says, "One of the best concepts for a show we've ever seen, shame about the script. Larry David, if you're reading, buy the format rights and turn it into the truly hilarious comedy it deserves to be."

It's a daring and convincing parody of American sitcoms of the 1950s and '60s, such as I Love Lucy, and I don't think the script is as bad as b3ta says. The show comes from the UK -- Wikipedia has an article on it here.

Neil McCaul as Adolf Hitler, I think, is very good and reminds me a bit of Robin Williams.
