This is the story of an Irishman, Thomas Meagher, who was almost hanged and his body chopped into four pieces by the British government, for his 'terrorist' leanings, and who went on to become Governor of Montana, USA. Some bloggers here in the States have even began postulating the fate of Pancho Vila during the Mexican Revolutionary period. Certain apt comparisons imply that the US should have pursued him and his patriotic confreres unto death(without distinction, ridding Mexico of Mexicans). It'd be comic if it wasn't so tragic...
