Who killed Martin Luther King?

1968 Dr Martin Luther King Jr's alleged killer, James Earl Ray (1928 - 1998), was found in London.

Ray recanted his confession within three days after his conviction for the April 4, 1968 assassination, claiming that a person with the alias 'Raoul' was involved, as was his brother Johnny, but not himself. He spent the remainder of his life attempting (unsuccessfully) to withdraw his guilty plea, presenting his case for a conspiracy in the book, Who Killed Martin Luther King Jr? (foreword by Rev. Jesse Jackson). It was Ray's contention that he had been a patsy, set up by 'Raoul' and others to purchase a rifle, believing he was actually taking part in a gun-running crime.
