"THE developers of a world-class eco-village in Chidlow are fighting on despite almost two years without bank finance.
"SomerVille Ecovillage has been attracting residents and working on approvals to start building ever since the land was purchased in 2002.
In April 2008, the development received local subdivision and infrastructure approval, was given final subdivision approval in June the same year and let a contract for infrastructure works in September.
"However, board member Dave Moore said the group had the rug pulled from under it when its bank, St George, held back the second half of its loan just as civil engineers were about to start works ..."
