Haiti tragedy is not in a political vacuum

Natural disasters always loom larger in places that have been forced into poverty by rich nations. I trust that most Wilson's Blogmanac readers are aware of the machinations of the Bush and Clinton regimes that led to such poverty in Haiti, and then to the worst natural disaster in the Western Hemisphere.
