International Day in Solidarity with Leonard Peltier
February 6 of each year has become The International Day in Solidarity with Leonard Peltier. Protest gatherings to publicize Peltier's plight and help gain his release are held around the world, from a few individuals in small towns, to thousands on the Internet registering their protest with elected officials and the White House.
And another thing: Your list of supporters should also include Buffy Sainte Marie, who makes reference to Leonard Peltier in her furiously powerful song "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" on what (in my opinion) is one of the great "protest" albums – "Coincidence and Likely Stories". Well worth a listen if you can find it.
Wilson's Blogmanac, founded on April 26, 2003. Dedicated to the 353 victims of Australia's shame, the SIEVX disaster,
and casualties of poverty and authority worldwide. Public Domain (an explanation is at Wikipedia), Pip Wilson, 2003-2011. But kindly email if you republish. I'm currently launching and promoting the free e-book, 'Microminibliss', for
those interested in my new links directory, Bellingen (Australia), and my Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). (Use Search for that.) So, kindly Google the word 'Microminibliss', and some links will come up, not 25 million in the usual Google manner.

And don't forget, Pip, that before he was elected President, Bill Clinton promised to pardon Leonard Peltier. Ha!
