Bombora by The Atlantics

A classic 1963 surfing instrumental, Bombora, is at YouTube. Check out the old cars and the malibu boards. For some reason, this Aussie band called themselves The Atlantics.

Bombora is an indigenous Australian term for large sea waves breaking over submerged rock shelves.

According to Wikipedia, I quote "Contrary to the accepted surfing connotations of their name they actually took their name from a local brand of petrol, Atlantic."

Well there I am! I remember Atlantic petrol, too. That shows how old I am. Thanks for the tip, Diana.
