Advance in longevity of yeast could hold promise for humans

"Researchers at the University of Southern California have extended the life span of bakers’ yeast tenfold through genetic manipulation and caloric restriction.

It is the greatest increase in prolonging life ever achieved in the laboratory."

I wonder if brewer's yeast has anything to do with human longevity.
