Ron Paul makes Net waves

Libertarian Republican, Ron Paul, who would be President of the USA, is the Number 1 search on Technorati today.

Paul has always voted against the USA PATRIOT Act, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, and the Iraq War. His platform is also limited government and free enterprise. In other words, you can be against a particular war and still be very weird and scary.

"ABC News were swamped with furious e mails and calls over the weekend after they deliberately scrubbed Ron Paul from their online poll, ensuring no one could vote for him. After he was reinstated, the Congressman received thousands of votes and won the poll at a canter."

What exactly is it that you find "weird and scary" about Ron Paul?
Is it that he believes the President and Congress should actually obey the Constitution? Or is it that he wants to restore sound currency so your bank account won't lose its value over time? Or that he wants to end the Federal Reserve monopoly on setting interest rates so we can be free of the boom and bust economy we've had since 1913?
Or is it simply the fact that he isn't owned lock, stock and barrel by the corporations, like all the other candidates?
