Rouseabout

ABC Radio National seems to delight in using Americanisms. For example, Mark Willessee this morning on 'AM' used the American term 'roustabout' in preference to the Australian 'rouseabout'.

I'm really getting pretty sick of it. I don't think a day goes by without ABC Radio National relinquishing Australian culture, notably our own language. When will it end? And why do they do it? Do they feel very inferior to Americans, and if so, why?
