ActiveX popup comes from new Microsoft patch

Apparently I'm not the only one having problems with MS Internet Explorer, which (because of a new patch) is causing an annoying ActiveX popup to appear any time there is anything like an embedded music file on a page.

Microsoft Suffers Patch Problems

How do we get rid of this annoying pop-up. It takes me 20% longer to do a computer assisted task because of this stupid exercise of King Bill's long arms. Can we get a class action going against that arrogant bastard? Don't get me started or I'll let slip how I really feel.
